Application of wax lotion added to water-based varnish in cigarette package printing

Water based varnish is a type of water-based varnish mainly composed of three categories: main agent, solvent, and auxiliary agent. It is applied to the surface of paper products through printing equipment (screen printing, relief printing, gravure printing) to enhance the glossiness, water resistance, and wear resistance of printed products. It is widely used in cigarette packaging.

The application effect of water-based varnish in cigarette packaging and food packaging boxes is mainly improved without affecting the glossiness of the original printed materials. Moreover, water-based varnish has good wear resistance, protecting the packaging from damage and being resistant to yellowing and ultraviolet rays, extending the service life of the product. Water based varnish has fast adhesion, high temperature resistance, good heat sealing performance, and is flat and roll resistant during the printing and packaging process, solving the problem of adhesion after printing.

Wax lotion is a very important component in water-based varnish system. Wax lotion mainly includes paraffin lotion and polyethylene wax lotion. It can effectively improve the abrasion resistance of water-based varnish, prevent adhesion, and give printed products a touch.
